Tripoli: Undersecretary of the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Expatriate Affairs, Emhemed Zidan, headed, on behalf of the GNU Foreign Minister, the accompanying Libyan delegation in the African Diaspora Conference for African Expatriates, which was hosted by the city of Bahia in Brazil on Saturday. In his remark, Zidan stressed the importance of strengthening African solidarity and concerted efforts to achieve the desired international reforms, calling for strengthening regional cooperation to combat the illegal migration, in line with the goals of sustainable development and the African Union's vision for 2063. "Zidane" stressed the need to accelerate the ratification of the agreement to establish the African Investment Bank, as it is a fundamental pillar to support investment projects and human development on the continent and to reduce the migration of African competencies and cadres, in addition to the possibility of African expatriates contributing to the development of their original countries throug h it. This conference comes within the framework of intensive preparations for the 9th conference, which will be held on November 29, 2024, in the Togolese capital, Lomé. Source: Libyan News Agency
