Lt. Gen. Kamel El Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, attended the celebration of General Motors Egypt's one millionth vehicle. He praised the company as Egypt's first private automotive manufacturer to achieve this milestone in partnership with General Motors International, which established the first regional industrial facility in Alexandria nearly 90 years ago. This facility exports to Euro-Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, and African markets. El Wazir noted that General Motors Egypt has been a leading provider of transportation solutions for over four decades, producing more than 90% of its sales locally and collaborating with numerous regional suppliers. The company remains committed to increasing the local content of its products. On the sidelines of the celebration, the Minister and company leaders inspected the production stages of vehicles.
