Tripoli: The President of the Presidential Council, "Mohamed Al-Manfi", met today, Wednesday, at the headquarters of the Council, the new Governor of the Central Bank and his deputy assigned by the House of Representatives, "Naji Issa" and "Marai Al-Barasi", in the presence of the acting Governor "Abdul Fattah Abdul Ghaffar", and the Minister of Transport, Chairman of the Handover and Receipt Committee, "Mohamed Al-Shahoubi". The media office of the Presidential Council said that "Al-Manfi" praised at the beginning of the meeting the national and historical role of "Abdul Fattah Abdul Ghaffar" in managing the Council in the most difficult circumstances and implementing the court rulings and the people's aspirations to cancel the tax on foreign currency. The office explained that "Al-Manfi" stressed the need for the Governor of the Central Bank to commit to the technical role of the bank and stay away from politics and not exceed the legal powers of the Board of Directors, especially the board formed pursuan t to Resolution No. 22 issued by the Presidential Council until a new Board of Directors is formed by agreement on the person competent to form it. Al-Manfi concluded - according to the same source - with the necessity of adhering to spending according to the state financial law (1/12) only for the first, second and fourth chapters until agreement is reached on a unified budget law or temporary financial arrangements.
