Hebron Chamber of Commerce Delegation Embarks on European Business Tour


Al-Khalil-Ma’an: A delegation of businessmen led by Ahmed Hassouna, Economic Advisor and member of the Board of Directors at the Hebron Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has embarked on a shuttle tour across Europe, starting with France and proceeding to Italy and Switzerland. The visit aims to engage in various international trade forums and develop strategic partnerships to enhance Palestinian industry and trade.

According to Maan News Agency, the delegation’s first stop is in Paris to participate in the SIAL Paris International Food Exhibition, scheduled from October 19 to 23. The delegation includes prominent figures from diverse economic sectors: Eid Sayaj from the precious metals sector, Firas Al-Najjar from the food sector, Shaaban Al-Natsheh from the leather industries, Bilal Al-Mahariq from the textile sector, and Rami Ashour who represents the clothing, shipping, and clearance sectors.

In Paris, the delegation plans to hold meetings with French businessmen and industrialists, as well as with other
representatives from the European Union. A French economic working group has already been engaged to facilitate these crucial interactions. Following their engagements in France, the delegation will head to Italy where they will participate in economic workshops and seminars pertinent to their respective fields.

The tour is set to conclude in Switzerland, with further details on the activities planned there yet to be disclosed. Counselor Hassouna expressed optimism about the tour, stating, “The delegation represents different economic sectors and segments, and we hope that through our European visit, we will gain a unique vision and opportunities to develop our business in the foreseeable future.”
