New Batch of Qatari Aid Arrives at Beirut Airport


BEIRUT: Today, a new batch of Qatari aid comprising 17.3 tons of medical supplies and medicines, arrived at Rafic Hariri International Airport on board a third plane as part of the air bridge that was inaugurated by the Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lulwa bint Rashid Al-Khater.

According to National News Agency-Lebanon, the aid was received by Caretaker Minister of Public Health, Firas Abiad, in the presence of the Qatari Ambassador to Lebanon, Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Caretaker Economy Minister Amin Salam, and a delegation from the Qatar Development Fund. Minister Abiad praised the Qatari support, noting that it significantly contributes to the needs of Lebanon’s health sector during this critical period. The Qatari ambassador highlighted the ongoing support from Qatar, mentioning that over 50 tons of medical and relief aid have been delivered to Lebanon thus far.
