SAF Military Committee Prepares for Adverse Weather in Oman

MUSCAT: The Sultan's Armed Forces (SAF) Main Military Committee for Management of Emergencies (MCME) has declared its preparedness to manage the adverse weather conditions currently impacting the Sultanate of Oman. According to Oman News Agency, the MCME convened recently under the leadership of Brigadier Hamid Abdullah Al Balushi, SAF Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations and Planning and Chairman of the MCME. The meeting primarily focused on evaluating the latest weather updates and assessing the readiness of various sub-committees. These sub-committees have been activated across the governorates expected to be most affected by the ongoing weather conditions. The MCME's proactive approach highlights its commitment to safeguarding residents and infrastructure from potential damages due to the weather conditions. This meeting underscores the importance of preparedness and coordination among various military and civilian agencies in dealing with natural calamities.
