Kuwait City: Dr. Asem Mansour, the Director General of Jordan's King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC), was awarded the Kuwait Prize for the Control of Cancer, Cardiovascular Diseases, and Diabetes in the Eastern Mediterranean Region. The accolade was presented by the Kuwaiti Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmad Al-Awadhi, during the 71st session of the WHO Regional Committee. According to Jordan News Agency, the ceremony recognized the significant contributions of the KHCC under Dr. Mansour's leadership in cancer control within the region. The award highlights the center's advancements in research, innovation, and the provision of exemplary medical services in battling cancer. During his acceptance speech, Dr. Mansour emphasized that the award was a reflection of the collective efforts of the entire team at the King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Center, along with the support of both local and international partners. He dedicated the honor to the patients at KHCC, acknowledging their resilience and the lessons they pr ovide in combating cancer.
