Salfit: Israeli authorities demolished a two-story house belonging to Samih al-Natour in Kafr al-Dik, located west of Salfit, on Tuesday. The demolition was carried out under the claim that the building was unauthorized in Area C, a region under Israeli control according to the Oslo Accords. According to Maan News Agency, Israeli forces, accompanied by military reinforcements and two bulldozers, entered the town and commenced the demolition of the 170 square meter house in the "Al-Sha'ab" area on the town's western side. The operation was part of a broader action to prevent Palestinian expansion in Area C, which is frequently targeted by Israeli authorities for demolition and restriction notices. Samih Al-Natour reported that he had received several notices from the occupation authorities since the start of the year, asserting that the case was still active in the Israeli courts. He noted that the house, constructed in 2020, is in an area that has seen numerous similar notices, highlighting the ongoing tens ions over land and building rights in the region. This incident is part of a continuing policy by Israeli forces aimed at limiting Palestinian development in Area C, often described by critics as a punitive measure against the Palestinian population in these areas.
