Israeli Occupation Forces Attack School in Gaza, 28 Killed and 160 Injured

Jabayla refugee camp: In a severe escalation of violence, 28 Palestinians were killed, and 160 injured when Israeli forces targeted the Abu Hussein school in the Jabayla refugee camp in North Gaza. The school was sheltering displaced children and women at the time of the attack. According to Kuwait News Agency, the Gaza government media office detailed that the attacked facility was known to house thousands of displaced persons, primarily children and women, who had been forced from their homes by prior shellings. The press conference held by the office emphasized the awareness of the Israeli forces regarding the civilian nature of the shelter. This incident marks a significant rise in the number of shelters struck by Israeli forces, with the total reaching 192, affecting countless refugees and victims amidst what the office described as a genocidal war against the Palestinian people. The attack coincides with a deteriorating health situation in Northern Gaza, home to approximately 400,000 people. Reports i ndicate that Israeli forces have also threatened hospitals in the area, demanding their evacuation, which could potentially lead to further casualties. The media office strongly condemned the attack, urging international condemnation and holding both the occupation army and the United States administration accountable for what it labels as genocide against civilians and refugees in Gaza. Further reports from the Gaza government media office highlighted two additional massacres committed by the occupation forces against families in Gaza within the last 24 hours. These attacks have significantly increased the toll, with the total number of Palestinian casualties since October 7 last year reaching 42,438 dead and 99,246 injured.
