Foreign Activist Injured in Assault by Settler in Hebron Region

HEBRON: A foreign activist was injured on Friday after being assaulted by Israeli settlers while she was participating in an olive-picking activity with local residents in the village of Susya, located south of Hebron. According to Maan News Agency, the head of the Susya village council, Jihad al-Nawaj'a, reported that the attack occurred under the protection of occupation soldiers. The activist, who sustained bruises and contusions, declined transportation by an occupation ambulance and was instead taken by a Palestinian Red Crescent ambulance to Abu al-Hussein al-Qasim Hospital in Yatta for medical treatment. The incident is part of a series of confrontations in the region. A group of settlers reportedly stole a tent and personal belongings belonging to Muhammad Yunis Abu Aram during an attack on the Al-Fakhit and Halawa areas in Masafer Yatta. They also stormed the Al-Fakhit mixed school, adding to the tension in the area. Further escalating the situation, occupation forces confiscated three cars from t he village of Khallet al-Mai, situated east of Yatta. This occurred following a raid on the village where a military checkpoint was established. During this operation, cars were searched, and citizens' identification documents were checked.
