Kuwait Finance Minister Engages in Talks with Egyptian, Tunisian, and Turkish Counterparts in Istanbul

ISTANBUL: Kuwait's Finance Minister, Nora Al-Fassam, who also serves as Minister of State for Economic and Investment Affairs and Acting Oil Minister, convened with finance ministers from Egypt, Tunisia, and Turkiye in Istanbul on Thursday. The meeting was part of the 15th Turkish-Arab Economic Forum, aimed at strengthening economic cooperation and fostering closer ties between Arab nations and Turkiye. According to Kuwait News Agency, the discussions focused on enhancing collaborative efforts and reinforcing fraternal relations among the participating countries. Minister Al-Fassam emphasized the importance of a proactive approach by nations to stimulate economic growth. She highlighted that eliminating trade barriers could significantly enhance interaction between Turkiye and the Arab world, potentially accelerating Kuwaiti investments in the region. The forum, which spanned a single day, addressed several pressing economic and financial topics, such as managing financial policies in the face of unstable e conomic conditions and strengthening Turkish-Arab economic relations. Participants also explored emerging opportunities in sectors like green energy, financial technology, and logistics services.
