Kuwait city: Kuwait's Al-Safa Charity and Humanitarian Society announced the launch of its winter humanitarian campaign in Kyrgyzstan, aimed at providing essential warmth and security to vulnerable groups, including Muslim orphans, widows, and impoverished families. According to Kuwait News Agency, the campaign, named "Security and Warmth," was initiated on Monday by the Society. Mohammad Al-Shaya, Chairman of the Society, detailed in a press statement that the initiative is a significant effort to support those in need during the harsh winter months, where temperatures can plummet to 30 degrees below zero. The campaign includes distribution of coal for heating, blankets, and winter clothing. Al-Shaya highlighted the plight of the target groups, emphasizing their dire need for support as they lack basic living necessities. He noted that a ton of coal, essential for heating homes during the freezing temperatures, costs about KD 30 (approximately USD 100). The annual campaign is a part of the society's ongoin g commitment to aid those in need before winter sets in. The chairman called on philanthropists to contribute to the cause, providing contact details and methods for donations, including a phone number, a website, and the society's headquarters address, urging support for their "brethren" in Kyrgyzstan.
