Osama Hamdan Urges UN Security Council to Address Gaza Crisis

Bethlehem: Osama Hamdan, a prominent figure in the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), has called for an immediate session of the United Nations Security Council in light of recent military actions in northern Gaza, which he claims have resulted in the deaths of 700 individuals. Hamdan emphasized the need for international pressure to halt what he described as ongoing aggression in the region. According to Maan News Agency, Hamdan highlighted the dire situation in Gaza, noting that the routes from the north to the south of the Gaza Strip have become perilous for civilians. He criticized what he perceives as international inaction, labeling it a "stain on the foreheads of the cowards" and accusing the occupation of committing systematic crimes that he believes amount to genocide. Hamdan described the situation as an escalation of war on the Gaza Strip, with the occupation allegedly refusing all requests to allow aid into the northern part of the region. Hamdan further accused the international community of failing to uphold the principles upon which its institutions were founded, suggesting that the American administration is complicit by providing the occupation with a one-month period to consider humanitarian aid, which he interpreted as a tacit approval to continue its actions. He concluded by stating that the Palestinian people will determine their future and the course of events following the conflict, without external influence.
