Official Thanks Supreme Leadership for Blessing Development, as Road Contracts Inked

KUWAIT CITY: In a significant move towards enhancing the country's infrastructure, the Ministry of Public Works has signed contracts aimed at the fundamental maintenance of highways and inner roads, underscoring the crucial support from higher political leadership in accelerating national development. According to Kuwait News Agency, Assistant Undersecretary for Public Works, Eid Al-Rashidi, emphasized that the expedited pace of development was made possible through the backing of the nation's supreme leadership. Speaking on the occasion of the contract signing, Al-Rashidi detailed the ministry's strategic plan to prioritize the repair and maintenance of the most damaged roads across all governorates, aiming to achieve a substantial improvement in infrastructure. This initiative is seen as a step towards realizing His Highness the Amir's vision of transforming Kuwait into a prominent financial and commercial hub. Al-Rashidi assured that the ministry has set stringent terms to ensure high-quality work throug hout the projects. Earlier today, Minister of Public Works Dr. Nora Al-Mashaan signed 18 contracts valued at KD 400 million (USD 1.3 billion), which include comprehensive works on rainwater sewage systems, street lighting, telecommunications, and road paving. Dr. Al-Mashaan had informed her Cabinet colleagues of her plans to finalize these agreements during a session held yesterday.
