Beirut: Israeli air strikes on multiple towns in Lebanon on Sunday resulted in the deaths of 16 people and injuries to 14 others, escalating tensions in the region. According to Kuwait News Agency, the Lebanese health ministry reported that six people were killed and 13 injured in the air strikes on Sidon. The Lebanese National News Agency detailed further casualties, with five people killed in the bombardment of Chehabiyeh village and additional injuries reported. Strikes on Zawtar Al-Charqiyeh resulted in three deaths, while a drone attack targeting a van in Haouch Barada killed two and wounded one. The agency further reported that the Israeli occupation continues to assault several Lebanese towns, causing significant damage to residential properties, shops, and parked vehicles. This surge in violence comes amid ongoing tensions since October of last year, with Israeli air raids in September already having inflicted substantial losses in both lives and property.
