Paris: The International Association of Lawyers (UIA) on Wednesday honored the Vice President of the Kuwait Bar Association for International Relations, Abdulrahman Al-Tahous, as the best national representative in the union for 2024. This recognition took place during the 68th General Conference of the International Association of Lawyers, which is being held in Paris from Wednesday, October 3, until Sunday, November 3. According to Kuwait News Agency, Kuwait's representative in the union, Abdulrahman Al-Tahous, expressed his happiness over receiving this honor from among 1,280 lawyers participating in the conference. He dedicated this accolade to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and his colleagues in the Bar Association. Al-Tahous emphasized that over the course of five years, he has worked diligently in the name of Kuwait to make it stand out in international forums. He considers this honor a Kuwaiti achie vement on the global stage. He encouraged everyone to strive towards ambitious goals, highlighting the need for scientific competence as well as experience and dedication to work. Al-Tahous was appointed by the Association at the UIA Executive Committee meeting held in Luxembourg on November 5, 2019, where he approved the appointments and renewals of the national representatives. Furthermore, Kuwait is set to host one of UIA's programs in April 2025, which will enhance Kuwait's international standing. Founded in 1927 and with members in 110 countries, the UIA is a global, multicultural organization for the legal profession that facilitates professional development, stimulates learning and communication, and promotes the rule of law.
