Sidon: Civil Defense teams on Thursday recovered the bodies of three individuals following a targeted attack on a vehicle near Al-Awali checkpoint at the northern entrance to Sidon. One additional person was injured in the incident, which prompted an immediate response from local emergency services. The fallen were transported to Sidon Governmental Hospital, while the injured individual was taken to another nearby facility for treatment. The vehicle, struck in the lane leading toward Sidon just before the army checkpoint, was set ablaze upon impact. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, UN peacekeeping (UNIFIL) personnel were reportedly injured and received on-site medical treatment. Red Cross teams also arrived on the scene to assist with evacuations. Civil Defense personnel worked to extinguish the fire in the targeted vehicle. Meanwhile, traffic was halted in the area as authorities conducted their response.
