Beirut: Army Commander, General Joseph Aoun, on Tuesday held a series of meetings at his Yarzeh office, focusing on international military cooperation and the domestic situation in Lebanon. His discussions included a significant engagement with Canadian Brigadier General Louis Lapointe and Canadian Ambassador to Lebanon Stefanie McCollum. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the meeting with Brigadier General Lapointe underscored ongoing military collaborations between Lebanon and Canada. Following this, General Aoun met with Member of Parliament Najat Aoun Saliba to address the current situation in Lebanon, particularly in the context of the ongoing Israeli aggression. Furthermore, General Aoun engaged with Ahmad Hachmieh, the head of the Beirut Association for Social Development, and a delegation of Beirut dignitaries. Their discussions focused on a range of issues, reflecting the broader social and political challenges facing Lebanon.
