BEIRUT: Israeli enemy raids have intensified across multiple towns and localities in southern Lebanon, with significant damage and casualties reported. The town of Ma'arka was the target of an Israeli air raid, resulting in the destruction of a house. Civil defense teams from the Islamic Message Scouts are actively engaged in rescue operations, with injuries reported amidst the debris. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Israeli warplanes also carried out a raid on the town of Qana. Concurrently, the vicinity of the Khiam Detention Center was targeted, accompanied by intermittent artillery shelling. The aggression did not stop there, as the enemy artillery bombarded several other towns, including Shamaa, Zibqin, and Ain al-Zarqa, with a number of phosphorous shells, causing further destruction and panic among residents. In a recent escalation, Israeli warplanes launched attacks on Qaqaiyat al-Jisr in the Nabatieh district. The sound of violent explosions was reported by the National News Agency cor respondent in Kfar Kila, adding to the growing tension in the region. The afternoon saw two consecutive airstrikes in the Al-Midan neighborhood of Nabatieh city and its cemetery area, raising concerns over civilian safety and infrastructure damage. Additionally, further reports from a National News Agency correspondent in Zahrani indicated that the town of Al-Kharayib was also targeted by enemy raids. The situation in southern Lebanon remains volatile as the airstrikes and artillery shelling continue to escalate, impacting numerous localities and exacerbating the humanitarian crisis.
