Tyre: The Public Health Emergency Operations Center of the Ministry of Public Health announced on Thursday that Israeli airstrikes on the town of Maarakeh in Tyre district resulted in 13 deaths and 44 injuries. The incident occurred yesterday, causing significant casualties in the region. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the statement from the health center highlighted that the casualty figures are still preliminary. Rescue operations and damage assessments are ongoing in the heavily bombarded area, suggesting that the numbers might change as more information becomes available. In a separate incident, the Public Health Emergency Operations Center reported three more fatalities and five injuries following an Israeli airstrike on the town of Shaatiyeh, also located in the Tyre district. This further compounds the impact of the recent hostilities on the local communities in the region.
