Beirut: Lebanese Forces' leader, Samir Geagea, held a meeting with Swedish Ambassador to Lebanon, Jessica Svärdström, at his Maarab residence on Wednesday. The discussions primarily focused on the ongoing political and security developments within Lebanon, with particular attention paid to the ceasefire in the south and the enforcement of UN Resolutions 1701, 1559, and 1680. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Geagea firmly stated, "There will be no return to the situation that was prevailing in Lebanon before October 7, 2023." He further emphasized the Lebanese Forces' unwavering stance against any form of settlement or compromise concerning the presence of illegitimate weapons. Geagea attributed significant destruction, loss of life, and chaos to Hezbollah's flawed strategic approach, reinforcing his position against such compromises.
