Mikati Receives Supportive Calls from Cypriot President and Lebanese Religious Leaders.

Beirut: Caretaker Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, on Wednesday received a phone call from Cypriot President, Nikos Christodoulides, with whom he discussed the latest developments in Lebanon and the recently declared ceasefire. President Christodoulides expressed his support for Lebanon and its stability. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Mikati also received calls of solidarity from Grand Mufti of Lebanon Sheikh Abdul Latif Derian and Druze Spiritual Leader Sheikh Sami Abi Al-Muna. Both religious leaders offered their support for the Lebanese government and Mikati's efforts during these challenging times. Ahead of the cabinet meeting, Mikati met with Army Commander, General Joseph Aoun. They discussed security updates and the plan to bolster the army's presence in southern Lebanon to ensure stability and security in the region. Additionally, Mikati welcomed Italian Ambassador to Lebanon, Fabrizio Marcelli. Their discussions focused on bilateral relations and current developments, further strengthe ning the ties between Lebanon and Italy.
