Beirut: Lebanon's Public Health Ministry's Emergency Operations Center has reported a grim update on the ongoing conflict with Israel. On November 26, 2024, Israeli airstrikes resulted in 78 fatalities and 266 injuries, significantly contributing to the escalating humanitarian crisis in the region. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, these recent casualties have increased Lebanon's total death toll to 3,961, with the number of injured rising to 16,520 since the beginning of the aggression. The Ministry is actively engaged in efforts to recover victims trapped under the rubble, employ DNA identification techniques for deceased individuals, and collaborate with hospitals to ensure accurate data collection on the casualties. The Ministry has also announced that a comprehensive review is currently underway. This review aims to compile a final report that will offer a complete accounting of the human losses incurred due to the conflict. The situation remains critical as authorities work tirelessly to a ddress the escalating humanitarian needs.
