Beirut: Deputy House Speaker Elias Bou Saab held significant meetings with the Cypriot and Brazilian Ambassadors in Lebanon to discuss pressing issues, including ceasefire violations and migration challenges. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Bou Saab first met with Cypriot Ambassador Maria Hadjitheodosiou at his office in Parliament. The discussions centered around the ongoing issue of irregular migration across the Mediterranean to Cyprus, a problem affecting both nations. Bou Saab emphasized the shared burden and called for the international community to take action in finding lasting solutions to the migration crisis. In a subsequent meeting with Brazilian Ambassador Tarcísio Costa, Bou Saab addressed the Lebanon-Israel ceasefire and accused Israel of deliberate violations. He described these actions as provocations against both Lebanon and the international community, and as blatant assaults on Lebanon's sovereignty, civilians, and army personnel. Bou Saab asserted that these actions expose Israel's false claims regarding the ceasefire, urging for international attention and resolution. The meetings underscore Lebanon's ongoing diplomatic efforts to address both regional security concerns and migration issues, highlighting the need for international cooperation in resolving these complex challenges.
