National Program for Local Social and Economic Development Concludes in Badaro

Badaro: The Ministry of Social Affairs hosted the closing ceremony of the "National Program for Local Social and Economic Development," supported by the Italian government. The event took place at the Ministry building on the 7th floor, with Italian Ambassador Fabrizio Marcelli in attendance.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the day's events included several important meetings and ceremonies. At 10:30 am, MP Fadi Alameh, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Committee, met with UNIFIL Political Affairs Director Joanna Nathan. The meeting aimed to discuss ongoing collaborations and future initiatives.

In the afternoon, Caretaker Minister of Energy and Water, Walid Fayad, visited the Zahrani power plant at 2:00 pm. He was accompanied by Electricit© du Liban's Director General, Kamal Hayek, and other officials. The visit included a ceremony recognizing 80 employees for their commitment during recent Israeli attacks, followed by a lunch at the plant.

Simultaneously, the Ministry of Justice's electronic operations room held its inaugural meeting for lawyers at the American University of Science and Technology (AUST) in Beirut. The event, led by Caretaker Minister of Justice Judge Henry Khoury, focused on the project for automating courts and enhancing electronic judicial and commercial registry services.

Later, at 4:00 pm, the Syndicate of Engineers hosted a conference titled "Reconstruction: A Plan or a Decision?" under the patronage of Minister of Public Works and Transport Dr. Ali Hamieh. The conference, held at the syndicate's main headquarters in Bir Hassan, will continue over two days, bringing together urban planning specialists and municipal union leaders from the Southern Suburbs, Bekaa, and the South.
