Beirut: Caretaker Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, on Tuesday received U.S. Ambassador Lisa Johnson at the Grand Serail, where they discussed current developments. During the meeting, Ambassador Johnson acknowledged Mikati's efforts during his tenure and emphasized the cooperation established with him. She conveyed her wishes for Lebanon's future prosperity and stability.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Mikati also held discussions with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Abdallah Bou Habib, focusing on the current situation in Lebanon. The Prime Minister later met with Minister of Youth and Sports, George Kallas, who shared his gratitude for the support received from Mikati. Kallas highlighted the national responsibility borne by the government during a challenging period and noted the international recognition of Mikati's sacrifices.
Minister Kallas expressed his hopes for success for the designated Prime Minister and a promising new era that aligns with the aspirations of all Lebanese citizens.
