Beirut: House Speaker Nabih Berri met with European Union Ambassador to Lebanon, Sandra De Waele, at Ain al-Tineh. The meeting focused on issues pertinent to Lebanon's current situation and its future direction.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Berri, in a separate statement to LBCI, clarified that a scheduled call with French President Emmanuel Macron did not take place. The clarification aimed to dispel any rumors or misunderstandings regarding the communication between Lebanese and French leaders.
When questioned about the recent decision to boycott the consultations session and whether it was intended as a signal to international parties, Berri stated, "Lebanon needs to move forward." This comment underscores the urgency and importance of addressing internal challenges and progressing towards national stability and development.
