Chouf: The snowstorm currently hitting Lebanon blanketed the mid-altitude regions of Chouf, bringing traffic to a standstill in the higher areas and forcing the closure of several institutions, including schools. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the heavy snowfall also led to the closure of the main road connecting Maaser el-Chouf to the Cedars and Kefraya in the Bekaa. The storm was accompanied by thunder, lightning, and dense fog, further complicating conditions. Meanwhile, the torrential rain and hail replenished water streams that had dried up in recent weeks.
