Beirut: In a formal handover ceremony at the Ministry of Information, former Minister Ziad Makary passed the baton to his successor, Dr. Paul Morcos, in the presence of Director-General Dr. Hassan Falha and ministry officials.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Makary expressed gratitude for the collaboration during his tenure, emphasizing the importance of continuity and teamwork in the ministry's success. Makary stated that the Ministry of Information serves as a home for all media professionals and praised Morcos for his dedication to governance and continuity. He highlighted key initiatives during his term, particularly focusing on stabilizing ministry employees and pushing forward with the long-awaited media law reform.
Makary remarked on the necessity of modern legislation for Lebanon's media that reflects the country's values and future aspirations. He also commended Lebanon's national television for its resilience and urged Morcos to continue its development.
