Doha: Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, received a phone call today from Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, discussing the ceasefire agreement and Israel's withdrawal from southern Lebanon.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, during the call, the leaders reviewed ways to support and promote cooperation between Qatar and Lebanon. They also discussed the latest developments in Lebanon, focusing on the ceasefire agreement and the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Lebanese territories. Additionally, they exchanged views on several regional and international issues of mutual interest.
The Qatari Foreign Minister reiterated Qatar's commitment to supporting Lebanon, emphasizing the importance of unity and territorial integrity for the Lebanese Republic. He affirmed Qatar's ongoing support for the Lebanese people and the new Lebanese government's efforts in the development and economic sectors. The minister also highlighted the necessity of full adherence to the ceasefire agreement and the withdrawal of Israeli forces from all Lebanese territories.
