Cairo: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Jordanian Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II will hold a meeting in Cairo on Sunday.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the Jordanian News Agency reported that Hussein bin Abdullah II is set to pay a working visit to the Egyptian capital, where he will meet with President Sisi.
The meeting underscores the strong relations between Egypt and Jordan, particularly regarding their shared stance on the Palestinian issue. Both nations maintain a strict and unified position against any plans to displace Palestinians from the Gaza Strip or the West Bank, emphasizing their support for a two-state solution as the sole resolution to the conflict.
In recent telephone discussions, President Sisi and King Abdullah II reaffirmed their unified stance on the developments in the occupied Palestinian territories. They stressed the importance of commencing the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip without displacing Palestinians and called for an end to the practices of Israeli occupation forces in the West Bank.
The leaders also emphasized the significance of ongoing joint coordination on regional issues, aiming to serve the interests of both Egyptian and Jordanian peoples and uphold Arab interests. This was highlighted in a statement by the Egyptian presidency, as reported by "Russia Today".
