Beirut: The head of Iran's Civil Aviation Organization, Hossein Pourfarzaneh, announced the suspension of all flights to Lebanon until the 18th of this month due to security issues at Beirut Airport.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Pourfarzaneh explained that the decision followed a request from the Lebanese side, citing special security conditions in Beirut. This comes amid concerns about potential threats to Iranian aircraft heading to Lebanon. Pourfarzaneh emphasized that while there was no direct mention of threats, the agreement between the Iranian Civil Aviation Organization and Lebanon led to the suspension of flights, halting the movement of Iranian passengers to Lebanon during this period.
The Iranian official assured that the Civil Aviation Organization will monitor the situation daily and is committed to resolving the issue. He expressed confidence in overcoming the current challenges.
