Hezbollah’s Sheikh Qassem Vows Endurance of Resistance Amid New Phase

Beirut: In a moment of historic significance, Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem addressed the massive crowds mourning the martyrdom of Sacred Martyr Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah and his companion, Sayyed Hashem Safieddine. Speaking via video screens at Beirut's Camille Chamoun Sports City Stadium, Sheikh Qassem delivered a powerful speech, pledging that the resistance would endure despite all sacrifices.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Sheikh Qassem honored Hezbollah's martyred secretary general Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah as 'a historic and unparalleled leader-a beacon for the free people of the world, a beloved figure among the resistance fighters, the oppressed, and the downtrodden.' Sheikh Qassem emphasized Sayyed Nasrallah's pivotal role in uniting the nation with the resistance and his unwavering focus on Palestine and Al-Quds. Sayyed Nasrallah's leadership journey was highlighted, from assuming the presidency of Hezbollah's Executive Council in 1989 to becoming Secretary General in 1992, a position he held until his martyrdom.

In a heartfelt vow to the martyred leader, Sheikh Qassem pledged to continue Sayyed Nasrallah's path, even at the cost of martyrdom and destruction. He praised Sayyed Nasrallah's commitment to the Palestinian cause and extended condolences and congratulations to the families of the two great martyrs and all resistance supporters.

Sheikh Qassem reaffirmed Hezbollah's unwavering stance on Palestine, emphasizing that Lebanon is the final homeland for its people. He criticized Israeli actions in Gaza and the region and asserted that the resistance's sacrifices and resilience were unparalleled achievements. The resistance, he declared, remains strong and has entered a new phase with different tools and methods.

Sheikh Qassem addressed ongoing tensions along Lebanon's southern border, accusing Israel of violating the ceasefire agreement and committing to securing the freedom of Lebanese prisoners held by the Israeli occupation. He outlined Hezbollah's strategic approach to the confrontation, emphasizing the need for the Lebanese state to assume its responsibilities.

Addressing the United States, Sheikh Qassem warned that its schemes would fail and urged Washington to abandon its conspiracies. He questioned Lebanese advocates of sovereignty on their silence in the face of Israeli and US aggression, challenging them to reflect on their inaction.

Reaffirming Hezbollah's ideological roots, Sheikh Qassem declared the party's allegiance to the path of resistance and its commitment to building a strong and just Lebanese state. He also reaffirmed Hezbollah's alliance with the Amal Movement, warning against attempts to divide them. Concluding his speech, Sheikh Qassem bid a final farewell to the martyred leaders, invoking a historic and religious context.
