Baabda: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, on Tuesday emphasized that Lebanon's advancement is a collective responsibility, highlighting the nation's determination to rebuild bridges of confidence with the Arab world, the Lebanese diaspora, and all countries globally. He reiterated that the focus is on a program for building the state, reforming, and fighting corruption, with the judiciary and security being central to their efforts to move Lebanon to a new stage.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, President Aoun's remarks were made during a meeting at Baabda Palace with Dr. Ali Hussein Khalil, CEO of the Kuwait Financial Centre and Chairman of the Lebanese Business Council in Kuwait, along with a delegation. They congratulated the President on his election as head of state. Dr. Khalil presented the work of the Business Council, established in 2020 to encourage economic, commercial, and cultural exchange between Lebanon and Kuwait.
President Aoun also met with Lebanon's Ambassador to Germany and Acting Head of the Lebanese Mission to UNESCO, Ambassador Mustafa Adib. Their discussions touched on Lebanese-German relations and the conditions of the Lebanese community in Germany. Ambassador Adib briefed the President on UNESCO's decisions, particularly concerning the protection of heritage, archaeological, and cultural sites in Lebanon, especially following the recent Israeli war on Lebanon.
