Information Minister Explores Media Cooperation with International Partners

Beirut: Information Minister, Paul Morcos, engaged in a series of strategic meetings aimed at enhancing Lebanon's media relations with international entities.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Minister Morcos held discussions with Lebanese American University (LAU) President Dr. Chaouki Abdallah and his team, focusing on administrative and technological reforms. The dialogue centered around leveraging ministry resources and fostering collaborations between university academics and the public sector to support Lebanon's progress. Dr. Abdallah expressed LAU's readiness to contribute its expertise to the ministry's initiatives.

In a separate meeting, Minister Morcos welcomed Serbian Ambassador Milan Trojanovic to discuss preparations for an upcoming visit to Serbia. This visit is expected to culminate in the signing of a bilateral media cooperation agreement. Ambassador Trojanovic extended his best wishes to Minister Morcos in his new role.

Additionally, Egyptian Ambassador Alaa Moussa met with Minister Morcos to congratulate him on gaining parliamentary confidence and his appointment. Ambassador Moussa highlighted the potential for media collaboration between Egypt and Lebanon, particularly in modernizing T©l© Liban and enhancing cooperation between the two countries' information ministries. He noted Egypt's advancements in media technology and the opportunities for knowledge sharing with Lebanon.

Ambassador Moussa also discussed media coverage of the upcoming Arab Summit, ensuring open access for all television networks, including T©l© Liban, provided they submit a formal request. He stressed the increasing role of technology and artificial intelligence in enabling real-time reporting, enhancing media efficiency.

Minister Morcos expressed gratitude towards Ambassador Moussa, acknowledging his dedication to bilateral cooperation. Discussions also covered strategies to alleviate financial burdens in Lebanon's media sector and reaffirmed Lebanon's commitment to strengthening media ties with Egypt and the Arab region, especially in light of the upcoming Arab Summit.

The meetings underscored the importance of international partnerships in advancing Lebanon's media sector and the potential for regional collaboration to drive future progress.
