Bint Jbeil: Minister of Public Health, Rakan Nassereldine, and his accompanying delegation visited today the Bint Jbeil Hospital, the second stop in his tour of a number of southern hospitals on Saturday. As he inspected the various sections of the hospital which is gradually resuming operations, the Health Minister praised the steadfastness of the medical teams since the first day of the war until today, assuring that "Bint Jbeil is resistant to aggression."
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Nassereldine expressed his personal and professional support for the region, stating his visit was not only in his capacity as a minister but also as a doctor. He highlighted the significant impact of the Israeli aggression on medical teams and the healthcare infrastructure, noting the deliberate harm aimed at destabilizing the sector. Despite the challenges, he emphasized the potential for hope and reconstruction amidst the distress.
Nassereldine reiterated the government's commitment to the reconstruction and restoration efforts, emphasizing that the focus extends beyond infrastructure to include people and medical staff. He underscored the necessity of ensuring access to treatment and pledged cooperation with donors to fulfill these commitments.
The Health Minister also reviewed the specific needs and demands of Bint Jbeil Hospital, noting positive developments such as the inauguration of new departments and the return of kidney dialysis patients. He expressed optimism for further cooperation and the full resumption of services in the remaining departments.
