Sheikh Al-Aql Contacts Papal Ambassador to Check on Pope’s Health Condition

Beirut: The media office of the Druze Sheikh Al-Aql announced that Sheikh Sami Abi Al-Mona engaged in a phone conversation with the Papal Ambassador to Lebanon, Monsignor Paolo Borgia. During the call, Sheikh Al-Aql inquired about the health of Pope Francis, expressing his wishes for the Pope's speedy recovery and comfort, acknowledging his significant spiritual status and the humanitarian message he embodies.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Ambassador Borgia extended his well-wishes for the start of the holy month of Ramadan, expressing hope for peace, stability, and prosperity in Lebanon, the region, and globally.

In a separate statement, the media office of the Druze Sheikh Aql voiced concern over certain calls from Lebanon and occupied Palestine regarding visits to holy sites. These calls are seen as deviating from their intended context, especially amid rising appeals for normalization aimed at provoking emotions and media discussions. The statement urged adherence to religious, moral, and social responsibilities and emphasized the importance of respecting norms and principles when addressing sensitive matters.
