Beirut: Minister of Public Works and Transport, Fayez Rasamny, joined Prime Minister, Nawaf Salam, and the Ministers of Environment and Energy on an inspection tour of war-ravaged villages in southern Lebanon. The visit provided a firsthand look at the immense destruction the region has endured, highlighting both the staggering scale of devastation and the unyielding resilience of its people.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Rasamny remarked on the historical significance and resilience of the region, noting that the atmosphere of the south evokes a deep sense of belonging and responsibility. He highlighted that the experiences of sacrifice and steadfastness in southern Lebanon are deeply rooted and not merely abstract concepts.
Rasamny reaffirmed the government's commitment to the recovery process, pledging to dedicate every available resource to support the people of the south. He expressed confidence in the region's ability to recover, stating that with determination, the south will rise again, stronger and more vibrant.
In his call to action, Rasamny encouraged all Lebanese citizens to visit the south to gain a true understanding of the region's suffering and sacrifices. He emphasized that the south is more than just a geographical area; it is a testament to resilience and dignity, deserving to be witnessed and honored.
