Beirut: Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam met with a delegation representing the Maronite community in Cyprus at the Grand Serail on Thursday afternoon. The delegation was led by Maronite Archbishop of Cyprus, Selim Sfeir. Discussions centered on affairs and demands pertinent to the Maronite community in Cyprus.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, in a separate meeting, Prime Minister Salam was visited by a delegation from the Makassed Islamic Philanthropic Association of Beirut. The delegation, led by Vice President Dr. Imad Itani, extended an invitation to the Prime Minister to attend the Iftar banquet organized by the Association. The banquet is scheduled for March 22 at the Middle East Training Center's Hall.
