Shamaa: UNIFIL Sector West Command, in cooperation with the Red Cross, launched a blood donation campaign at its headquarters today. The initiative saw the voluntary participation of 151 peacekeepers, showcasing an act of care, solidarity, and support for the local population and the community's well-being.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, UNIFIL highlighted in an issued statement that this initiative gains additional significance during the holy month of Ramadan, a period of reflection and sharing within the Muslim community.
UNIFIL Sector West Commander, Italian Major General Nicola Mandolese, emphasized the eagerness of the men and women of Sector West to provide support and hope to those in need. He affirmed the UN peacekeeping forces' continued commitment to supporting the Lebanese people in southern Lebanon.
