Beirut: House Speaker Nabih Berri on Monday engaged in discussions with Kataeb Party leader MP Sami Gemayel at the second presidency headquarters in Ain el-Tineh. Their discussions reportedly touched on the current general situation, political developments, and national affairs.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Speaker Berri also hosted a delegation from the subcommittee of the joint parliamentary committees at Ain El-Tineh. This delegation, tasked with studying the law proposal for a compulsory health coverage system, included Committee Chairman MP Bilal Abdullah and MPs Ali Al-Mekdad, Fadi Alameh, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Bizri, Sajih Attieh, and Imad Al-Hout.
The meeting with the parliamentary delegation centered on political developments and legislative affairs. An emphasis was placed on the outcomes reached by the committee in its discussions regarding the law proposal for a compulsory comprehensive health coverage system, including the amendments introduced to the proposal.
