Brazil Condemns Israeli Attacks on Gaza Strip, Calls for Ceasefire Compliance

Brasilia: The Brazilian government has expressed strong condemnation of the recent Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, which reportedly led to the deaths of hundreds of Palestinians, including many children. This incident has been described as a flagrant violation of International Humanitarian Law.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Brazil emphasized Israel's responsibilities as the occupying power to safeguard the civilian population in the occupied territories. The Brazilian government has urged Israel to lift the restrictions on humanitarian aid entry into Gaza and to restore the electricity supply to the region.

Brazil has also appealed to all involved parties to adhere to the terms of the ceasefire agreement announced on January 15. It calls for the urgent resumption of negotiations aimed at achieving a permanent cessation of hostilities, the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza, the release of all hostages, and the establishment of a robust mechanism to ensure the unhindered entry of humanitarian aid.
