Beirut: Demonstrations in the United States continue to denounce the renewed Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, which has resulted in numerous casualties and injuries. Protesters are also voicing their concerns over statements by the far-right Israeli leadership, which indicate an intention to continue the conflict until the population is displaced.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, marches were organized in various cities including Indianapolis, Indiana; Rochester, New York; Denver, Colorado; Ventura, California; Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Tampa, Florida. These protests are in response to the renewed Israeli military actions in Gaza and the accompanying escalation described by demonstrators as "genocide" against civilians.
Participants in the protests are also calling for the release of Mahmoud Khalil, a Palestinian student and activist at Columbia University. Khalil is currently detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), reflecting the current US administration's approach towards activists supporting the Palestinian cause.
