Lebanon’s Interior Ministry Announces Dates for 2025 Municipal and Mayoral Elections

Beirut: The media office of the Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Ahmed Al-Hajjar, has announced the schedule for the upcoming municipal and mayoral elections in Lebanon. The elections are set to take place in different governorates on separate dates throughout May 2025.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the schedule is detailed as follows: elections in Mount Lebanon will be held on May 4, 2025; North Lebanon and Akkar will vote on May 11, 2025; Beirut, Bekaa, and Baalbek-Hermel are scheduled for May 18, 2025; and South Lebanon along with Nabatieh will have their elections on May 25, 2025.

The Ministry of Interior has indicated that municipal electoral bodies will receive invitations at least one month before the election date specific to their governorate, ensuring adequate preparation time for the electoral process.
