Beirut: Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Youssef Rajji, on Thursday received a phone call from Egypt's Foreign Minister Mohamed Abdelatty. The two officials discussed recent developments in Lebanon and the broader region.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the discussion focused on Egypt's efforts to address the ongoing escalation by Israel in southern Lebanon. They emphasized the importance of pushing for Israel's withdrawal from occupied Lebanese territory, in alignment with the cessation of hostilities agreement.
In addition to the conversation with Abdelatty, Minister Rajji met with Italian Ambassador to Lebanon, Fabrizio Marcelli, during a courtesy visit. The discussions between Rajji and Marcelli revolved around strengthening the relations between Lebanon and Italy across multiple sectors.
Rajji conveyed Lebanon's appreciation for Italy's ongoing support, highlighting its involvement in UNIFIL and peacekeeping activities in southern Lebanon.
