Beirut: President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, on Thursday visited the directorates of the Internal Security Forces and General Security, addressing officers and personnel with a firm message of reform and national responsibility.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, President Aoun issued a call to action for the security forces, emphasizing the need to restore their prestige. He stressed that allowing the authority of these forces to be undermined is unacceptable. Aoun urged the officers and personnel to act as ambassadors to the sects and political class, insisting that they should prioritize Lebanon's interest by enforcing the law without being influenced by external pressures.
President Aoun underscored the urgency of the current situation, recognizing the exhaustion of the people and highlighting their deservingness of sacrifice from the security forces. He encouraged the forces to seize the present opportunity to demonstrate their maturity and capability in state-building. 'Let your achievements speak for you,' he urged, encouraging actions that reflect positively on their dedication to national service.
