Beirut: The Korean battalion operating within UNIFIL in southern Lebanon and the administration of Martyr Mohammad Saad High School celebrated a joint event at the school's theater. The event was attended by key figures including the Director General of Amal Educational Institutions, Dr. Bilal Zeineddine; the commander of the Korean battalion, Colonel Yoo Jong-yeon; the organizational official of the Amal Movement in Jabal Amel, Engineer Ali Ismail; the school's principal, Mohammad Al-Abd; members of the administrative body; the representative of the Parents' Committee, Dr. Shireen Ajami; and several officers from the Korean battalion. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the ceremony commenced with a reception for Colonel Yoo Jong-yeon by the school's taekwondo students. Colonel Yoo Jong-yeon spoke during the event, emphasizing the positive relationship between the Korean battalion and Martyr Mohammad Saad High School. He highlighted their collaborative efforts to ensure a promising future for the s tudents amidst the challenging conditions faced by Lebanon, with a particular focus on the south. Dr. Bilal Zeineddine, the Director General, addressed the attendees, extending gratitude to the Korean battalion for their humanitarian support. He acknowledged the significant role of the Korean battalion in aiding students to access modern education through advanced technology, especially crucial given the post-war challenges. The event concluded with an exchange of appreciation shields between the two leaders, followed by a luncheon held in honor of Colonel Yoo Jong-yeon.
