Tehran: Iran has announced that its forthcoming discussions with the United States, scheduled for the end of next week, will continue to be “indirect” and will be facilitated by Oman. These talks are set to center exclusively on the nuclear issue and the lifting of sanctions.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei stated in an interview with state television that the negotiations will maintain their indirect nature. Oman will serve as the mediator, though the location of future negotiations is still under discussion. Baghaei emphasized that the focus of the talks will be strictly on the nuclear issue and sanctions relief.
