Halba: A civilian lost his life Sunday morning due to an Israeli drone strike in Halta, situated in the eastern sector of the border zone of southern Lebanon, as reported by the Ministry of Health. L'Orient Today's correspondent in the area, referencing local sources, identified the victim as Amer Abd al-Aal, a man in his 40s, who was killed while working at his chicken farm located between Halta and Wadi Khansa.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, despite the cease-fire that commenced on November 27, the Israeli army continues its operations in Lebanon, particularly targeting the south and the Bekaa regions. The ongoing Israeli attacks post-truce, including both bombings and shootings, have resulted in 149 deaths, as per L'Orient Today's compiled data. The United Nations reported on April 15 that there have been 71 civilian deaths due to these attacks. Furthermore, Israeli forces maintain control over at least five positions deemed "strategic" in southern Lebanon.
Additionally, it has been observed that two Israeli drones have continued their surveillance over the central sector of the border since Sunday morning.
