Beirut: Lebanese Central Bank Governor, Karim Souaid, on Thursday assured President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, that the central bank will uphold its independence, integrity, and immunity from all forms of external interference. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Souaid emphasized the central bank's dedication to maintaining its autonomy and transparency. He stated, "We will work to preserve the independence and transparency of the Banque du Liban and protect it from any interference, regardless of the source," highlighting that all actions will be guided by the law and aimed at serving Lebanon's national interest.
